Committed to sourcing varieties from where they grow best, Cassegrain Wines leads the way in showcasing what new and emerging regions have to offer consumers. This is typified by the winery being the first commercial producer in Australia of Chambourcin, a grape identified as being ideally suited to the Hastings River location. Cassegrain continues to be one of the few producers of this rare variety.

Old Yarras Tawny Port (500ml)

Old Yarras is an aged Tawny Port produced in traditional Australian style and is named after the town of Yarras on the upper reaches of the Hastings River in New South Wales. This is where the French Cassegrain family first settled upon moving to Australia in 1952.

Old Yarras is well matured and very complex. It is tawny amber in colour and the bouquet is generous and rich. There is both elegance and depth of flavour on the palate where the sweetness is perfectly balanced by aged brandy spirit. It is ideal with cheese, fruits and coffee after dinner.
