The largest producer in NSW's Hastings River region, Cassegrain Wines recognises the importance of terroir in determining grape characteristics and, as such, selects the best fruit from other wine regions to support its own impressive vineyard production,

Committed to sourcing varieties from where they grow best, Cassegrain Wines leads the way in showcasing what new and emerging regions have to offer consumers. This is typified by the winery being the first commercial producer in Australia of Chambourcin, a grape identified as being ideally suited to the Hastings River location. Cassegrain continues to be one of the few producers of this rare variety.

Premium Chardonnay 2007

This pale lemon Chardonnay exhibits generous aromas of spiced quince and white fleshed peaches. The palate displays honeydew melon and fig flavours that unfold gracefully to a creamy, yet minerally finish.

Premium Rose 2008

The 2008 Rosé is delicate blush pink in colour. It exhibits aromas of cherry blossoms, musk sticks and raspberries. The palate delivers intense flavours of poached rhubarb and ripe strawberries that lead to a refreshing crisp finish.

Premium Shiraz 2006

This elegant wine is dark plum in colour with a brilliant violet hue. Luscious aromas of chocolate, vanilla and ripe blackberries entice the senses.

Flavours of cassis, raspberry, aniseed and mint linger on the palate, finishing with a persuasive tannin spine.

Limited Release Premium Pinot Noir 2006

This elegant Pinot Noir is deep ruby red in colour with a garnet hue. Aromas of raspberry, nutmeg and mint flirt irresistibly on the nose.

Flavours of wild blackberry, plum and sweet spiced rhubarb mingle on the palate, supported by supple lingering tannins.

Premium Merlot / Cabernet 2006

This elegant wine is dark plum in colour with an intense crimson hue.

Aromas of cassis, mulberries and violets arouse the senses, whilst flavours of blood plum, vanilla bean and wild blueberry lace the palate.
