The largest producer in NSW's Hastings River region, Cassegrain Wines recognises the importance of terroir in determining grape characteristics and, as such, selects the best fruit from other wine regions to support its own impressive vineyard production,

Committed to sourcing varieties from where they grow best, Cassegrain Wines leads the way in showcasing what new and emerging regions have to offer consumers. This is typified by the winery being the first commercial producer in Australia of Chambourcin, a grape identified as being ideally suited to the Hastings River location. Cassegrain continues to be one of the few producers of this rare variety.

Stone Circle Chardonnay 2009

Pale lemon in colour, this Chardonnay has aromas of peach, melon and citrus fruit. The palate displays clean tight acidity, with balanced fig and nectarine characters.

A superb choice for the mid range: light, crisp and approachable with perfect weight and balance.

Stone Circle Verdelho 2009

Hunter Valley Verdelho is the benchmark for this varietal in Australia. The warm climate and unique mountain ranges that surround the Hunter Valley contribute to the amazing flavour profile of this variety.

Verdelho from this region produces taste sensations of pineapple, guava and jasmine, caressed by a unique spiciness.

Stone Circle Semillion / Sauvignon Blanc 2009

Vibrant lemon in colour, this youthful wine exhibits aromas of passionfruit, cherry blossoms and green apples.

The palate delivers flavours of kiwi fruit and fresh cut pineapple which linger on a lengthy mineral finish.

Stone Circle Shiraz / Viognier 2009

This wine is a vibrant young Shiraz caressed by a small amount of Viognier. It is dark plum in colour with a dazzling crimson hue. Senses are enticed with aromas of blackcurrants, mulberries, and rich dark chocolate.

A silky smooth palate has mouthfilling flavours of ripe black cherries, cassis and forest berries, laced with an explosion of sweet vanillan oak.

Stone Circle Merlot 2009

This Stone Circle Merlot is dark plum in colour with a violet hue. It displays aromas of raspberries, black cherries and spiced rhubarb.

The palate is ripe and fruit driven offering generous flavours of mulberries and mocha, enhanced by subtle tannins.

Stone Circle Sparkling Cuvee NV

This Sparkling Cuvee is sourced from fruit grown in various regions throughout Australia. It has a delicate pale gold colour with medium beading.

Its appealing bouquet is full of lifted fig and green apple characters with a subtle hint of bready complexity. The palate is lively and refreshing, displaying flavours of lemon zest and nectarines. Enjoy well chilled.

Stone Circle Shiraz Sparkling NV

This Sparkling Shiraz is vibrant plum in colour with medium beading. The appealing bouquet explodes with aromas of black cherry, cassis and vanilla bean.

The palate is lively and refreshing with flavours of rhubarb compote and blood plums. Enjoy well chilled.
