LES VIGNERONS DES 4 CHEMINS...................................................................................... ..... ..www.vignerons4chemins.com

A dynamic co-operative with a burgeoning reputation for good value and quality across its developing range of wines, Les Vignerons des 4 Chemins controls a cluster of long established domaines occupying over 900 hectares of vineyards which benefit from a superb Mediterranean climate of high summer temperatures and the Mistral wind. The combination of distinctive terroir and generous sun exposure is responsible for the powerful but well balanced wines for which this wonderful region is best known. The vineyards date back to Roman times but it was not until 1955 that large parts of the area were extensively replanted with grape varieties such as Syrah, Grenache and Cinsault, all of which are used to telling effect in the 4 Chemins portfolio.

Recent awards in major international wine shows confirm that this is a winery in the ascendant. In addition to the lovely entry level Sabran wines and their great Cotes du Rhone Baronnie wines, 4 Chemins offer excellent mid range value in the form of the impressive Laudun wines and a quite brilliant top cuvee in the impressive Clandestina, one of the best wines we have tasted this year.
